About
A workshop that fits in your pocket.
I'm Diego Ortiz and I make Hefesto. It started with a simple question: there are billions of capable phones and very few people with a computer at hand when an idea strikes. AI chats already dictate code; what was missing was a place where that code could run, be tested and become something real without leaving the phone.
Hefesto is that place. A full Linux, the compilers, the preview and an agent that drives them with your words. The name comes from the blacksmith god: the one who builds the tools others build with.
There's no company behind it, no investors, no plan to charge for what is free today. It's sustained by the time I put into it and by the voluntary support of anyone who wants to give it on Ko-fi.
Truly yours
No account, no server, no statistics. Your projects are ordinary files on your phone; take them with you whenever you want.
No middlemen
You use your AI key or your own model. Hefesto doesn't resell access or keep anything that passes through it.
Built to last
Open formats, Git, a signed APK published in the open. If Hefesto vanished tomorrow, what you made with it would keep working.
If you'd like to support
Hefesto is free and will stay free. Support on Ko-fi pays for concrete things: the Android developer registration, this website's domain and hours of testing on different phones. It unlocks nothing and creates no accounts.
